Honeyman State Park

After a few more eye-popping hours up the Oregon Coast, we came to Honeyman State Park. Typically this seems to be the spot for power sports fans, as this area is part of a long stretch of sand dunes that line parts of the coast. Still, we found a decent campsite with walking access to two lakes. Cleawox and Woahink Lakes both offer some great swimming opportunities, and Cleawox has a lodge with canoe and paddle boat rentals. We skipped the boat rental as they wouldn't allow us to take Scout in the boat.

Oregon has some very well developed State Parks, and we learned this was partly due to the State Lottery which has a certain percentage of proceeds earmarked for the parks.
